Robotics & InvenTeam
Grant Amount: $8,600
Date In Effect: 2023
Schools Impacted: Jr Sr High School
This grant included the purchase of a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Mill and a Carbon 3D Printer.
The Langmuir Systems MR-1CNC Mill is a vertical milling machine that allows students to carve extremely strong parts out of stock materials. This machine can accurately cut materials like steel, making it helpful when making strong functional parts under strenuous time constraints.
The Bambu Lab X1 Carbon 3D Printer can print from strong materials like Polycarbonate, making it useful for building sturdy parts. It is also one of the fastest 3D printers currently on the market, so it can be used to quickly prototype new designs.
