The Foundation was proud to partner with the Cold Spring Harbor School District for their inaugural STEAM Night. By peaking the interest of our youngest learners in STEAM we hope to inspire a lifelong love of the sciences and arts. About Us
The Cold Spring Harbor Educational Foundation is a community based 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to raising funds for initiatives and grants that ensure the legacy of educational excellence in our public schools.
Our Impact
Advancements in reading and math programs, the expansion of robotics and computer coding in elementary school and enhancement in research capabilities has had an immediate impact. Our students’ access to technology has increased by 50%, reading levels have increased by 25% when utilizing these new technologies and high school science students are entering higher-level competitions and securing prestigious laboratory internships across Long Island.

The Foundation has awarded and facilitated Cold Spring Harbor Schools 23 grants and counting including an emergency grant passed this summer for our challenging school year.

Years Serving our community
The Foundation was formed in 2012, by a small group of Cold Spring Harbor community leaders. Their goal was to raise private funds for our public school to enhance creativity and innovation. Over this short period The Foundation has supported all of our schools with grants that have enriched our children’s educational experiences.

Since its inception, The Foundation has raised over $1.2 million that has funded grants and initiatives that benefit students in the Cold Spring Harbor school system.
Youth Ambassadors
The Foundation is proud to work with our students and formed the Youth Ambassador program. The Youth Ambassador Program gives students the opportunity to work with the Cold Spring Harbor Educational Foundation and be involved in initiatives that directly affect them. The Youth Ambassadors strive to ensure the Cold Spring Harbor Central School District is providing their students with the best quality of education possible by bringing in new ideas from a student’s standpoint, expanding community outreach, or aiding in the display of the Foundation’s actions.
