First Robotics Initiative
Grant Amounts: $1,000 & $4,000
Date In Effect: 2022
Schools Impacted: Jr Sr High School
The Foundation proudly funded the first Robotics Initiative for the Robotics Team. This initiative aimed to provide the Robotics Team, the Cyberhawks, with the equipment they need to compete in the highly competitive 2023 FIRST Robotics National Championship where, under strict rules, limited time and resources, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get! With these grants, along with the help of our district administration, we hope to enable the Robotics team to continue learning, building and competing in this highly competitive arena. We also hope to encourage continued curiosity and development in robotics for our students.
